
Bláithín Brady is a fully licensed Chartered Physiotherapist. She is CORU registered and is a member of the Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports and Exercise Medicine. Bláithín set up the physiotherapy practice here in 2014 and she shares her time here between Old Bawn Clinic and working as a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist alongside Mr. Mihai Vioreanu and Mr. Gavin McHugh, orthopaedic surgeons in the Sports Surgery Clinic, Santry.
Since graduating from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh, she has worked in various private practices in Longford, Mayo and Dublin. She obtained her Masters in Sports Physiotherapy from University College Dublin and continues to do further studies in the Physiotherapy and Sports Medicine field.
She has a keen interest in Musculoskeletal and Sports Physiotherapy and rehabilitation having obtained post graduate qualifications in strength and conditioning, dry needling, Mulligan’s technique, biomechanics of the shoulder and hip, sports taping, massage and exercise prescription. Bláithín is currently undertaking research on return to sport post ACL and meniscal repair injuries.
Blaithín has worked alongside many sports teams including the Fiji Senior Men’s rugby team, Leinster Junior Rugby team, Monkstown RFC, DIT Rugby, Mullinalaghta GFC, Longford Minor footballers, Leitrim Senior and Minor footballers , Longford Town Football Club and the Mayo U.21 and Minor football teams. She has also been the head Physiotherapist at the Dublin City marathon for 3 years.
In her spare time Bláithin enjoys leading an active lifestyle and can be found watching and playing many sports.
